aires - festival of Mexican contemporary music

Aires is the festival of Mexican contemporary music by the School of Music of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). It is a plural space open to all trends and all voices. The music of young composers and performers has a relevant place in our programs. The festival has been held annually since 2016 in Mexico City. 

The 2023 edition will take place from August 18 to 25  and presents five concerts with music by young composers. Check out here all the concerts of Aires 2023. 

The program of the festival is integrated through an annual call for scores. A committee discusses the applications and chooses the participants. The call for scores is published annually in July on our website and on our social media. The festival is held entirely in Spanish.
